Discussion: do trimmed ends really = hair growth?

Like myself, I'm sure you've heard that trimming your ends makes your hair grow. This supposedly isn't true but I have to say, maybe it's just in my head, I do notice that my hair "seems" to grow quicker than usual. It's funny how the mind works, lol.

What do y'all think? Is this a fact or myth?

*Speaking of, an influencer I'm subscribed to on YouTube has a video of a very easy way to trim your hair - a trick that I now use. Put your hair in a couple twists and cut off the pieces that seem to be out of place.
